Tana L. Hill, M.Ed.
The Child’s Nurturing Center was created by our director in June of 1986 after
she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Towson University.
The center was the first full day, full service facility in the Finksburg area.
In 1987 she realized our community did not have services to provide for school
age children in the public schools. After meeting with members of central office, a format was established
by Carroll County Public Schools to open the door for providers to offer this level of care. Mrs. Hill
then created a not-for-profit corporation, The Social Club, Inc., to offer care in Taneytown Elementary School where the program
still thrives.
After completing a Master’s Degree in Education at Towson
University, Mrs. Hill was offered an adjunct position teaching for them.
Below
are Mrs. Hill’s education specifics as well as her experiences and memberships.
