Our Art Room design is based upon the philosophy that more is better.
We provide students with quantities of supplies so they will use their imaginations to create wonderful pictures, structures,
and fabrications that are diverse, meaningful and engaging.
The Media/Technology Room is filled with books and technology that children recognize from the
public or private schools they attend. Our library books are extensive within the program and catalogued for easy
access. Our technology is available to support the learning process and documentation of activities.
Our summer curriculum is filled with opportunities to use and extend the skills students have learned
over the past school year. We also take weekly or biweekly walking trips to the Finksburg Library.
Our Math area begins with the provision of unit blocks, legos, scales, and counting blocks
as the cornerstones for exploration. From there we add countless other items and games which give varied
hands-on approaches surrounding mathematical concepts. In addition, students will find tools to assist them
in completing homework during the school year.

Science incorporates all aspects of cognitive development within our program. From reading
the lab experiments to gathering supplies, measuring, discussing, graphing and journaling our students are fully engaged
in quantitative and creative thinking skills.
We are grateful to the research scientists who have generously
donated the tools for our classroom laboratory.
In the Rec Room our students participate in fun activities
that include, but are not limited to, foosball, air hockey, skeeball and basketball. They can also work with
puzzles and board games, or create imaginary places where their toys from home can come to life.
In this room imagination and energy are endless.
