Our Rates Are Competitive - Our Value Is Priceless

Infants and Toddlers

Our four classrooms are maintained at a ratio of 1:3 in developmentally similar groupings.  This allows our teachers the ability to predictably respond to the children for the promotion of healthy secure attachment.  The responsive and nurturing staff establish daily activities and routines which stimulate appropriate growth and development for each child allowing for new milestones to be met at their own pace.

Two, Three and Four Year Olds

Our lower school classrooms maintain ratios which provide ample opportunity for teachers to observe and document the students' growth and development throughout the day.

Our program is staffed with teachers whose education goes beyond what is typically found in child care facilities.  We currently have members with Associates and Bachelor degrees or higher.

The preschool room teachers utilize a team teaching approach and maintain performance portfolios on each of their students based upon the Maryland Model for School Readiness criteria for children of their developmental level.

The School Age Room

The school age classroom is filled with opportunities to investigate through our exploration centers.  They are set up with weekly thematic experiences for students to creatively examine topics through differing methodology.  In art, science, math, technology, social studies and language arts our students interpret their findings in meaningful and dramatically hands-on ways.

The Recreation Room

Carroll County Public Schools utilize character building words to focus on powerful and positive prosocial growth in children.  We use the same language and concepts to guide our students through our Recreation Room and the activities they find there.   The students and teachers are able to participate in arcade games, as well as cognitive and motor activities for their enjoyment and good health while focusing on positive behavior modeling.

Playgrounds

Our playgrounds are located on approximately one acre of fenced in land with a variety of equipment designed for the developmental group who utilizes it.  Each area is sectioned off from the next by fencing.

The infant and toddler yard is located just outside the door of the classrooms.  There are numerous items for the children to develop large muscles and engage in social play activities.

The second playground is designated for our school age students and contains a fort, slides, gliders, climbing wall, basketball court, and open area for organized group sports.

The Preschoolers have their own slides, climbers, and dramatic play area as well as open space for games with their teachers and friends.

All playgrounds have oversized sand boxes for construction and imaginative play.
